The English Family Foundation is proud to support the Queensland Office of Social Impact, launched by the Queensland Treasurer in January 2025 as part of a 2024 LNP election commitment. The Office of Social Impact will catalyse the growth of for-purpose and social enterprises across Queensland through its $80 million Social Entrepreneurs Fund – one of the most significant state government investments in Australia’s social enterprise sector to date.
Our founder, Allan English AM, chairs two key roundtables established to foster collaboration with this Office:
- The Social Impact Advisory Roundtable unites sector leaders to ensure their expertise shapes the Office of Social Impact’s strategy. See Queensland Governments media statement
- The Philanthropy Roundtable engages the philanthropic community to amplify support for this initiative. See Philanthropy Australia article
At their inaugural meetings in January 2025, these roundtables identified critical opportunities, challenges, and insights—strengthening connections across Queensland’s social enterprise sector.
Allan English AM said: “I’m honoured to contribute to this landmark initiative alongside so many passionate and talented individuals. OSI represents an unprecedented commitment by a state government to social enterprise—there’s never been anything quite like it. This is a transformative step forward.”
